Pretty cool post. I just found your blog and wanted to say
that I’ve really liked browsing your posts. Anyway
I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!

I really can not wait to see this G.I. Joe film. However I was wondering is there any chance you might someday revisit your charachters from Deep Rising? or Van Helsing?

So, where exactly do we send emails to? I know there’s mention of a mailing address but no mention of an email address. I’d like to put that fountain pen to good use, but it seems like I misplaced it. ;)

What is going to be on the GI Joe Blu-Ray release? Extended Cut? Audio Commentary? Deleted Scenes?

  5. admin says:

JJ, you can definitely look forward to an audio commentary from Stephen once G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra comes out on Blu-Ray. Although he hasn’t yet decided if any deleted scenes will be included in the release, you can rest assured that there will be a huge amount of really exciting bonus material on the disc. In the meantime, check out the site’s webisode series – the first one posted today with many more yet to come. If it’s behind the scenes features you’re looking for, stephensommers.com has got your back.

Tara, we’ve just added a ‘Contact’ page to the site that contains all the email goodness you’ll ever need. Check out the site’s header for the link and feel free to send me any comments, feedback or questions for Steve.

I’ve been a Stephen Sommers fan since “The Jungle Book” and was ecstatic to learn he’d be directing “G.I. Joe.” Cannot wait for August 7! (And the eventual Sommers/Ducsay commentary is sure to be a blast. They’re always fun to listen to on their commentaries. :) )

Looking forward to the site growing over the coming months and years. By the way, any chance of Sommers’ first film, “Catch Me If You Can,” ever coming to DVD? It’s a really cool little flick. Surprised it was never released around the time of “The Mummy” or “The Mummy Returns.”

Stephen and Bob will definitely be providing commentary on the GI JOE DVD, and I highly recommend that anyone reading this check out a commentary track from one of their past films if you haven’t done so already – hugely entertaining stuff. As far as CATCH ME IF YOU CAN is concerned, there aren’t any DVD release plans…yet. I know that DVD copies have surfaced on eBay but until an official reprinting is announced, everyone will have to do with the rare VHS copies that are out there. Don’t forget – we also have a clip from CATCH ME IF YOU CAN under the ‘Films’ section of the site. Rest assured that we’ll have all the info on a DVD reissue as soon as there is one!
