This movie is gonna be kick awesomwe! I can’t wait to see this on opeing weekend.
Yo Joes!
I cannot wait for this film!!! Amazing. i want one of those suits.
Seriously cannot wait for this! I’ve been a JOE fan since 1983 and have long anticipated a big screen live-action adventure with the Joes. Sommers looks like he will once again deliver a top-notch action flick. (Also glad to see him returning to the Scope aspect ratio. Missed it on VAN HELSING.)
Wow I can’t wait, August 7th can’t come soon enough.
Its great to have you back Mr. Sommers!
Yo Joes and Yo Sommers.
It is 2:31 a.m. EST and I have just gotten back from viewing “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra” on opening night….well to be fair I didn’t juuust get back, I was actually back a couple of hours ago…but I just finished taking my Rise of Cobra movie figures and having THE biggest damn battle you ever did see! I re-enacted every scene I could from the film.
Mr. Sommers and crew…thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking one of my greatest childhood memories and what I always dreamed up as a kid throughout the years of what a LIVE action Joe movie would be, and surpassing every expectation I could have.
The attention to detail in the action, the sound the pacing was just fantastic. The jokes were actually funny and not corny or cheesy..they were fun and like I said funny. Some movies the comedy doesn’t mix well and then becomes ‘camp’. Thankfully this isn’t anywhere NEAR that.
I loved the explosions, the machine gun fire, the fact that soldiers/characters actually get injured and die (L-O-V-E-D what happened to Storm Shadow MAN that was an awesome battle and with a great ending for him to boot!)
The Accelerator suits were awesome (the gattling guns and missle launcher arms?! How could you go wrong, I man honestly now!) I just could go on…seriously…
…thank you all so very much for treating
this film with the utmost respect and working so very hard to bring it to the 28 year old who still collects and loves Joe but also the 6 year old who remembers his Mother handing him his very first G.I. Joe-Cobra Commander…that scourge with the silver battle mask and blue helment …or to the young kid who used to (and still does!) stage plenty of battles with his G.I. Joe action figures in and around the house….
..wait..where the heck am I again? OH YES, I digress. Thank you so very, very, very much for making the best G.I. Joe movie that could have ever come out and lets hope there is at least a couple of sequels…I want to see the live action version of that very first Joe I got…Cobra Commander with blue helment and silver battle mask.
YOOOOOOOO JOOOOOOOOOOE!!!!!!!!

I just got back from seeing it WOW!
I Loved it! This movie surpassed all my expectations.
Yo JOE!!
i freaking loved the movie..i thought it was better than transformers. it went past my expectations as well, loved the present day idea of the JOEs. the story was great. lol i loved the MUMMY cameos and the references to the old JOES (ex. Kung Fu grip). excellent cast as well, marlon wayans caught me by surprise. he did a great job. cant wait to see more mr. sommers. maybe Hasbro can tell the transformers to get a damn story to go with all that action, it does matter to those with common sense.
Saw the movie this morning, and absolutely loved it! Stephen Sommers brought one of my favorite childhood cartoons to life in a way I didn’t think was possible. You really nailed the characters and storyline. It was like watching the cartoon itself come to life. Excellent job all around, and I plan to see it again very soon. I say bring on the sequel! (And Cobra Commander with the infamous mirrored battle mask/helmet. I heard Stephen say he likes that look as well.)
I loved Gi Joe!!! It is the best movie I have ever seen!!! I always knew Steve would make it. I could tell from the first I met him on the set of “Stitches.” and I will always cherish the special time we spent together!!!
Hi, Very good movie. The best blockbuster of this summer. The action was fantastic but the battle of the two ninjas at the end was too cut.
I wish a sequel will come. And i’m ready for the blu ray.
GI Joe the movie is awesome. it focuses mainly on nanotechnology. this movie should have been made a couple of years ago.
LOVE this movie!!!! Cannot wait for a sequel. Things that I would love to see:
Drednoks busting Cobra Commander and Destro out of prison
Cobra Commander’s secret island base that he established with Dr. Mindbender while working for MARS
Destro and Dr. Mindbender scheming behind CC’s back, maybe Mindbender removes Destro’s control chip?
Can you tell I want more Dr. Mindbender?
Thanks again, Yo Joe!!!
