Synopsis
A rich, vivid translation of Rudyard Kipling’s literary masterwork of the same name, The Jungle Book transports viewers to the lush wilds of India where Mowgli (Jason Scott Lee), orphaned by the jungle when he was only a boy, finds a life among the animals in the country’s untamed wilderness. Raised by the wild to possess the stealth of a panther, the cunning of a wolf and the courage of a bear, Mowgli faces his greatest challenge when childhood love Kitty (Lena Heady) comes crashing back into his life, bringing all the opulence and trappings of Colonial India with her. As the promise of a legendary treasure lost to a forgotten city fuels their reunion with equal parts adventure and romance, Mowgli and Kitty learn that civilized society is anything but, and that those who appreciate the “bare necessities” in life are richer than all imagining.

Any news of a DVD/Blu Ray release?
Hey Stephen, how come ‘The Jungle Book’ has vanished off of the face of the Earth? I’ve asked in about eight dvd rental stores and shopping centers and no-one has it. Very annoying.
I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!! I never get tired of watching it over and over again.
